I'm Ashhar Shams — a product designer and UX lead with 8+ years of experience designing intuitive, scalable products at the intersection of user needs, business goals and technology. I've spent those years inside big companies and their hardest screens: FedEx, Airbnb, DTCC, HP, Al Tayer Group.

Currently I'm Head of Design at IDD Tech — a company under Australia's CIMIC Group — a role I hold through Wipro.

I trained as an architect at Jamia Millia Islamia, and I still design like one — first principles, systems before surfaces, and people moving through space. Before either, I was an animator: I made my first animated film in sixth grade, and I'm still an aspiring filmmaker, with motion, storyboarding and photography as part of the toolkit.

My favourite work is the unglamorous kind — a logged-in dashboard nobody used, rebuilt into something millions of shippers open every day.
